Feel free to put us in touch with them directly to chat about amps, volts and other matters technical. You can email the pdf straight to them. All our contact details are on the document. Electrical Requirements - January, 2003
The SERIOUS Hat Band / [the top hat band] / Sykes
Please note the following minimum specifi cation for the supply of electrical power for [the top hat band], The SERIOUS Hat Band and Sykes.
These specifications must be adhered to at all times but they are particularly important for outdoor and/or marquee events, or any event where the electrical supply is installed on a temporary basis.
Inadequate or faulty wiring can be dangerous to people and equipment. In order to protect ourselves and our equipment, you and your guests and the venue we will be unable to perform if the power supplied does not meet these minimum standards. Where there is any doubt we recommend getting a professional electrician to install the power supply. Please do not hesitate to call us on 0845 838 5191 if you need any more information.
We require:
A minimum of three separate 13 amp (240 Volts) feeds for the exclusive use of the band.
Each feed should be wired directly to main fuse board of the venue and each feed should be capable of delivering 13 amps at 240 Volts (that is, a total supply of 39 amps) and should properly earthed.
Each feed should be terminated with a good quality 4 way distribution board (13 amp domestic style square pin).
Each feed should be fused at 13 amps and fi tted with MCB protection.
Total cable resistance should not exceed 0.5 Ohms for each feed. As a guide, if the thickness of each core of the cable is 2.5 mm, the maximum length of cable allowable is approximately 60 metres. If the thickness of each core of the cable is 1.5 mm, the maximum length of cable allowable is approximately 35 metres.
