Their job is to get people up and dancing and to make sure that everyone leaves at the end of the night with a spring in their step and the feeling that they've been thoroughly entertained. They play a broad repertoire from the 1950s to the current charts to cover the variety of different ages and types of people at a typical function and they play with much the same energy and adaptability as all our other bands. The main difference in their setup is that the lead singer is female. Many of the greatest songs in modern popular music were originally sung by women and this gives Sykes a slightly different edge.
