In 1995, we opened our first monthly comedy club at The Red Lion in Colliers Wood, South West London. Many years have passed and we have learned a great deal about what it takes to put on a fantastic show - and how much the details matter. Now we are able to bring the accumulated experience and hard earned expertise from the those years spent developing successful clubs to our private work. We don't just book whoever's available and send them along and we're not agents, so we don't have a vested interest in sending you our own limited roster of acts. We will help you choose from the entire population of comic talent. It's our job to make sure that for each different job, the bill works, the venue works and the best possible time is had by all. It's the Dewson Entertainments philosophy. We can provide the PA system and lighting and run the night like a comedy club if you wish. We have all the tools to make a gig the best it can be. These days, Colliers Wood (the pub is now called GJ's) is our flagship club. We think it's the most enjoyable comedy gig in London and plenty of the top comics and our many regular paying customers agree with us. Our private clients include, amongst others, Cable & Wireless, Centrica and The Royal College of Music. We have a huge contact list of comedians and entertainers of all types and levels of experience, including the award winners, the critically acclaimed and the highest profile names in the business - and we never book anyone we haven't seen perform and verified for ourselves.
