A Bit About Us

Dewson Entertainments started out many years ago as The SERIOUS Hat Band. We made records and we toured up and down the country in a beaten up old van. But gradually we started to play more and more private gigs, so we decided it was time to specialise.

Now our bands play more than 300 events a year, in the UK and abroad. In the last few years alone we've done a corporate event in Monte Carlo, a wedding in Stockholm, a Charity Ball in Mayfair, an event in Muscat, Oman, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Sultan's reign, and a 40th birthday party in Aberdeen. We've played venues as big as Earls Court and Alexandra Palace and as small as Mr and Mrs Cohen's front room. We're very adaptable.

All our bookings come from recommendations

The more gigs you play, the more people see you. And if you're well organised, punctual and provide a fantastic show, people will recommend you to others. We did advertise fairly extensively at one time, but not any more! You wont see us amongst the forced smiles of the wedding fayres, nor in the classified section of the glossy magazine (although you may see us in the editorial). All our bookings come from recommendations and from people who have seen us play.

Dewson Entertainments is not an agency. We don't just represent our bands from a distance. We've hand-picked some of the finest musicians in the country, and we manage and control all aspects of their work, right down to the choice of songs they play. That's how we maintain our high professional standards. It also means that we don't need to charge commission..
